ALPHA is a Lebanese non-governmental organization established in 1993. Between 2012 and 2017, the organization successfully delivered five Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) projects aimed at enhancing access to safe drinking water, raising hygiene awareness, and improving sanitation infrastructure in underserved communities. Implemented in collaboration with local partners, these initiatives contributed to stronger community resilience and improved public health.
Within the framework of the “Shabake2 Project”—funded by the Agence Française de Développement (AFD) and the Centre de Crise et de Soutien (CDCS), and implemented by Expertise France—ALPHA will support the solarization of critical water infrastructure in Kfardounin, including pumping stations and water distribution networks. The intervention will encompass technical assessments, installation of solar energy systems, capacity-building for local operators, and community engagement to ensure long-term sustainability.
