Project External Evaluation


Requirements

ALPHA, in consultation with the funding partner KNHL, Kindernothilfe Luxembourg, is commissioning a -project evaluation of the project titled “Éducation et soutien psychosocial pour les enfants réfugiés syriens à Ghazzé/Liban”.

The project has already had successive phases, and its main goal is to improve the future of Syrian refugee children in Lebanon through quality education and psychosocial support. The main components consist of:

  • Supporting the education and psycho-social well-being of pre-school Syrian children living in the village of Ghazza and surroundings (West Bekaa)
  • Supporting the education and psycho-social well-being of children enrolled in formal public schools in Ghazza and surroundings.
  • Supporting the well-being of the Syrian families through psychosocial support and social assistance. 
  • Strengthening the capacities, skills and mental well-being of the teaching and PSS staff.
  • We are seeking an experienced Team of consultants with a strong background in international development and humanitarian programming.
  • The team leader must possess documented extensive experience on similar evaluations of civil society projects in the fields of education and psychosocial support for Syrian refugees populations in Lebanon.
  • Proven experience applying OECD-DAC evaluation criteria and delivering practical, actionable recommendations.
  • Strong familiarity with the Lebanese context and broader regional dynamics affecting child-centered interventions.
  • Sound knowledge of social research methodologies and data collection tools.
  • Expertise in conducting stakeholder interviews and focus groups.
  • Be able to communicate effectively in spoken Arabic (minimum: B2 level).
  • Have excellent writing skills in English.
